Sunday at CrossView - "Does God Tempt Us to Sin?"

I've heard very encouraging things from members as they've talked about the book of James in their own life. All of us go through trials so the passages have an immediate connection to living by faith in our Lord Jesus.

This Sunday we resume our James series with a passage on temptations, sin, and their place in our trials. See if you can make the connection between this passage and the command to consider all our trials a great joy (James 1:2).

Title: "Does God Tempt Us to Sin?"
Scripture: James 1:13-15

Main point: God does not tempt us to sin. There are 4 reasons why we know God doesn't tempt us.

1. God cannot be tempted by evil (v. 13)
2. God himself doesn't tempt anyone (v. 13)
3. We are tempted by our own evil desires (v. 14)
4. Our sin brings death, God brings life (v. 15)
